Music On Quasar

Album PileAlbums come in all shapes and sizes. Some are merely a collection of songs whilst others might have a theme or tell a story. The Who’s ‘Tommy’ is perhaps the most famous example of the latter but the album that is just a collection of songs also serves to demonstrate the depth and breadth of a group or artist.

The point is that most radio stations simply latch on to the ‘single’ and ignore almost all of the other tracks that an album contains. The result of this is that many people only ever hear these singles and never get exposed to the huge wealth of music they might also like.

The same is true for what might be termed non-mainstream artists. Most radio stations will major on the established acts ignoring those starting out on their careers and denying their audiences the chance to hear some excellent new music.

Quasar is different. Yes, you’ll hear music from the well-known bands and artists but, as we will play a wide selection of tracks from their albums, you’ll hear songs you wouldn’t normally hear and be exposed to music you might not have heard before.

Quasar will not ignore the emergent or up and coming either. You’ll hear a greater selection of new music than anywhere else.

You might reasonably ask what sort of music we play and the answer is all sorts. To us music is music and we do not pigeon-hole it into arbitrary genre labels. We hope that the music we play may open your ears to stuff you might not normally listen to, surprise you, remind of a track you’d forgotten about and introduce you to something completely new or maybe even all of those!
